FRUIT Challenge

A simple framework for seeing the fruit of a city

Every city is already bearing fruit.

In families, schools, businesses, government, media, culture, health systems, and churches, something is always growing. Trust or suspicion. Responsibility or neglect. Unity or division. Hope or fear. Life or decay.

The question is not whether our city will be shaped. The question is what kind of fruit it will produce.

The FRUIT Challenge is Big Tree’s simple framework for looking honestly at the quality of life in a city. It helps us ask where healthy fruit is already visible — and where the works of brokenness, neglect, division, or fear are shaping the city instead.

FRUIT stands for:

Faith

Is faith visible in the life of the city?

Responsibility

Do people take responsibility when something is wrong or neglected?

Unity

Is trust being built, or are relationships becoming more divided?

Inspiration

Are people finding wisdom, courage, and creative solutions beyond their limitations?

Transformation

Is visible good beginning to grow in the places where people live, work, learn, lead, serve, and worship?

The FRUIT City Quiz is a first step. It helps you reflect on the quality of your city and identify where renewal may need to begin.

It is not about judging a city from the outside. It is about learning to see more clearly: where fruit is growing, where pressure is increasing, and where people may need to take responsibility next.

Take the FRUIT City Quiz and discover where renewal can begin.
